Just returned from a weekend jaunt down to Boston/Tufts area. The journey began and finished on the not-so-aptly named Mega Bus - Altho it did get us there and back without incident, I didn't find much about it very "Mega"... Just a thought.
As for the weekend, Jeff, Patches, Adam, the 30 Pack crew and I all had a quacktastic time.
Highlights:
-Smashing my face into an armrest on the Mega Bus while laughing hysterically, resulting in a swollen/black eye.
-the Tufts alumni beating the Novice AND Varsity 8's in a 1K faceoff
-delicious breakfasts prepared by Mamma and Poppa Vanderkruik
-catching up with both Coaches and checking in on the team
-Soundbites with Patches & V-Robbbbahhh
-An endless marathon of Rock Band (although I shouldn't mislead, Adam and Ray were the true heroes here, playing 9 hours straight...)
-2 words: Sausage. Fest.
-Inventing new and amazing games with Monga involving golf clubs, empty beer cans and ping pong balls... "New rule!" "10 point deduction!"
So, all in all, a phenomenal weekend with great friends.
Oh yea, one more thing. Who's got 2 thumbs and has tomorrow off?!?! THIS GUY!!!! Happy Veteran's Day!
